Everything you need to know about how tasks work in Tendem — in one place.
How does task processing work?
You submit your prompt in a new chat.
The AI immediately starts processing your task.
The result is reviewed and improved by a human expert.
You receive a final, verified result in the same chat.
You’ll see status updates throughout — from “Tendem working...” to “Expert reviewing”.
Can I set a deadline or priority?
Not yet — all tasks are processed in order of submission. However, small tasks (like checklists) tend to complete faster than complex ones (e.g. data research, large documents).
There are no fixed SLAs — but expert's review typically happens within 30–60 minutes.
What does a task timeline look like?
| Stage | Description | Typical Time |
| AI processing | AI starts working instantly | Seconds to 2 mins |
| Human review | Expert improves and verifies the result | ~30 mins or more |
| Status: processing | System is actively working on your task | Shown in chat |
You’ll see exact progress, including AI steps (e.g. "Fetching content", "Summarising").
You can stop a task anytime using the Stop task button in the top-right corner.
How are tasks billed?
Tendem uses token-based billing, measured in time and complexity.
You are charged after the task is done
-
Cost reflects:
GPU usage during AI processing
Human expert's time (billed in 10-minute blocks)
Complex tasks are charged per minute, with volume discounts for long runs
Will the system check for token balance before running?
Yes — before processing begins, Tendem checks whether your balance is sufficient.
If you don’t have enough tokens, the task will pause, and you’ll be prompted to top up before continuing.
Can I change my request after submission?
Yes, before the expert starts, you can send a clarification.
Once the expert is active, any new message may not be considered.
“Edit-and-resubmit” is not yet available.
What if the task gets stuck or doesn’t complete?
You can’t edit an active task.
However, you can stop the task and start a new one with a corrected prompt.
You can also copy your original request and paste it into a new task.
Edit-and-resubmit functionality is planned for future updates.
Can tasks be paused and resumed?
Try this:
Click the Share button in the task.
Copy the link and contact Support Team.
Briefly describe the issue (e.g., “Task stuck after AI response”).
What types of files can I attach?
You can upload:
Local files (e.g., .docx, .csv, .png)
Google Drive files
OneDrive files
Add them via the 📎 icon below the prompt input field.
Can I submit multiple tasks at once?
Yes — each new chat is a new task.
Can I reuse a task?
Sure! Copy the original message into a new chat.
Can I ask for corrections if I forgot something?
Yes — if the expert hasn’t started yet. Otherwise, create a new task.
How do I know when my task is done?
You'll see the completed result in the chat and a token cost in the top right corner.
Can I leave feedback on the task?
Rate it with 👍 or 👎 and message us in the in-app chat with what missed the mark.
Can I try Tendem without paying?
Yes — new users receive a promo token package to try some tasks.
Can I use the results commercially?
Yes — you're free to use your final outputs.
Do tasks auto-complete if the AI finishes?
No — final output is always human-reviewed, unless noted otherwise.
What languages does Tendem support?
Tendem’s AI supports all languages, so you can submit tasks in any language, and the AI will respond accordingly. However, our human experts work exclusively in English.
Tasks submitted in other languages will not be processed by human experts. The AI may still generate a response, but expert review will not be available.
For the highest quality results, we recommend submitting tasks in English whenever possible.
Can tasks be paused and resumed?
This feature is in development. For now:
- If a task runs out of tokens, it will automatically pause.
- You’ll need to top up and contact Support Team to resume it.
In future versions, resuming a paused task will include a confirmation step.
Can I edit or resubmit a task?
You can’t edit an active task.
However, you can stop the task and start a new one with a corrected prompt.
You can also copy your original request and paste it into a new task.
Edit-and-resubmit functionality is planned for future updates.
